Prime Certified is reserved for products that pass the complete PrimeDownloads Product Excellence Standard. It is intentionally selective and should never be applied to every product by default.

Prime Certified

Required checks before Prime Certified approval

  • Files open correctly.
  • Spreadsheet formulas work correctly and contain no avoidable errors.
  • Print layouts are correct where applicable.
  • Documentation is complete.
  • Start Here guide is included for substantial products.
  • Setup Checklist is included for substantial products.
  • Licence is included.
  • Version history is included.
  • Compatibility is verified.
  • Previews match the actual downloads.
  • Spelling and grammar have been checked.
  • No filler content is included.
  • No temporary or development files are included.
  • ZIP package is tested.
  • Download and extraction are tested.
  • The product is genuinely useful for its intended customer.

Administrators should only apply the Prime Certified product tag once these checks have been completed and recorded during product preparation.
